The Lee Commission was a part of the British Royal Commission that addressed the racial composition and structure of the superior civil services in India. First Establishment

Government of India Act 1935

The body was reconstituted as the Federal Public Service Commission as per the Government of India Act 1935. It was created to centralize civil service recruitment in India and protect it from political influence.
